    Abstract
    We will use NICER observations of two comets to characterize the composition of the solar wind during solar minimum and to use the comet as a natural laboratory to study CX emission. First, we will use two different comets as natural space probes to measure the velocity, composition, and freeze-in temperature of the solar wind (cf. Bodewits et al. 2004; 2007). Second, NICER s sensitivity allows us to investigate the emission features between 1 - 2 keV previously seen in comets.
