NICER observation list: Target ID 454501

Abstract

We propose to observe the AMXP IGR J17062 6143 for a total exposure of 100 ks during the NICER cycle-3 GO program. With these observations we will be able to measure the very small pulse amplitude of this source, or place a physically interesting upper-limit on the presence of pulsations. This allows us to determine the long-term evolution of this pulsar under the influence of sustained low-level mass accretion.
