Abstract:

We propose to complete our mapping observations of SNR Vela Jr (RX J0852.0-4622) by covering the southern hemisphere of the remnant. Suzaku XIS images obtained by our AO3 program clearly reveal an energy-dependent morphology of Vela Jr for the first time, which strenghens our motivation to cover the whole remnant with Suzaku. We are aiming at (1) detecting hard X-ray emission with the HXD PIN, (2) measureing a keV-to-TeV ratio over the face of the remnant, and (3) confirming the presence of thermal X-ray emission in Vela Jr.
