Abstract:
The source of huge energy output from ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) is still under debate. We propose to search for a hidden QSO as the energy source by observing ULIRGs with high luminosity optical emission lines classified as a Seyfert 2. The data will be used to constrain the power of the central AGN and to study the nature of infrared selected type 2 QSOs.
