Abstract:

We aim to detect very low abundance lines, Cr and Mn, from SNR N103B in the Large Magellanic Cloud which is a low metaricity galaxy. It is known that a mass ratio of Mn to Cr synthesized in Type Ia supernovae is strongly correrated with the metaricity of the progenitor white dwarf. In the early Suzaku observation, we already detected the Cr line with about 3-sigma confidence level. In this follow-up observation, we detect the Cr and Mn lines with significant confidence, and determine the metaricity of the progenitor of SNR N103B. This will be the first measurement of the white dwarf's metaricity in the extra-galactic object.
