VSOP Survey Program observation of J1507-1652

J1507-1652

The data on this page are described in detail in
The VSOP 5 GHz AGN Survey: III. Imaging results for the first 102 sources
by Scott et al. in Astrophysical Journal Supplement, 155, 33-72 (November 2004) .
Please refer to this paper for details of the observations, analysis and interpretation.

The observation of J1507-1652 (1504-166) was made on 10-04-1998 (dd-mm-yyyy)
with HALCA and 3 ground radio-telescopes over a duration of 4:30 (hours:minutes).
Baselines to HALCA were not necessarily available for all of that time.
The survey code for this source is vs03m.
The observation was correlated at the Penticton correlator.
The source is classified as a quasar at a redshift of 0.876.
Please refer to the paper for full details and references.

Specific notes in the above paper for this source are:
VLBA2cm1 images, as well as the 8 and 15 GHz USNO images, show
extended structure to the south and southeast. This extended
structure is not as apparent in our image due to poor sampling of the
short (u,v) spacings.
