Proposal Abstract

This work is a continuation of study of the luminous CSS quasar 3C309.1 . We plan to compare a new obtained data at 1.6 and 5 GHz with our old VSOP maps (experiments v090a and v090c) to get information on the changes of the parsec-scale jet region to study the mechanism of helical tubes and the interaction with medium. The history of such interaction (motion of shocks, structural changes, varation of brightness) gives us information on the physical processes and conditions in the central region of this jet dominated, bright quasar.
