MRK590
Mrk 590 is a rare changing look AGN that has changed its optical spectral type twice, each coinciding with a large change in bolometric luminosity. The most recent transition, a flux increase by a factor of roughly 20 over two years, is still ongoing, with the source currently maintaining its brightest flux. The broad Hbeta emission and a soft excess have also re-emerged. A 150 ks XRISM observation is proposed to track how the iron K emission profile and putative disk wind respond to the increase in luminosity. Resolve will measure any ultra-fast outflowing winds, and will also map the circumnuclear accretion structure by resolving the Fe K line complex as Mrk 590 maintains its brightest phase ever observed.
