NGC4395
In understanding the mass accretion onto the BH in all mass range from stellar-mass to supermassive BHs, obscuring structures are crucial, but particularly those of low-mass AGNs are poorly understood. Thus, this proposal aims to study obscuring matter of the nearby low-mass AGN NGC 4395 by 200-ks observation. Our objectives are as follows. (1) Assess the geometrical thickness of the torus by focusing on iron emission originating at radii larger than a dust-sublimation radius. (2) Constrain the inner radius of an iron broad-line region (BLR) by reverberation mapping between the iron-line and continuum emission, and derive a virial factor. Then, assuming a disk model, we will constrain the geometric structure of the BLR, and will conclude the main obscuring structure of the low-mass AGN.
