ABELL1795_NORTH
We propose two XRISM Resolve pointings toward the bright cool-core cluster Abell 1795, one centered on the cluster and one offset 3 arcmin (220 kpc) to the north, with a primary goal of measuring the line-of-sight bulk motion and velocity broadening inside the disturbed central region and in a more relaxed region outside the core. These observations will also provide an initial baseline for future long observations to measure turbulence out to larger radius; probe the effects of gas dynamics on the distribution of metals in the ICM; and provide a deep Xtend observation to measure thermodynamic profiles out to R200.
