ABELL3571_SE
We propose six XRISM pointing observations of A3571, totaling 300 ks to constrain the velocity field and reveal how sloshing redistributes energy, metals, and entropy throughout the core. Velocity, temperature, and metal abundance map from AO1, covering three 150x150 kpc regions, exhibit patterns consistent with sloshing motions viewed nearly edge-on, likely triggered by the passage of the nearby A3572 cluster, which is X-ray faint relative to its concentration of galaxies. With the proposed observations, we will expand coverage out to 200-300 kpc from the BCG. A3571, despite its regular elliptical morphology, shows no strong evidence of a cool core, making it an ideal target for mapping ICM velocity fields driven by sloshing.
