NGC7469
We propose a 100 ks XRISM observation of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 7469 to investigate the interplay of accretion and ejection phenomena in its nuclear region. Recent XMM and Chandra HETG data revealed a complex Fe K structure with narrow and broad FeII k\alpha, outflowing ionized Fe XXV/XXVI emission, candidate inflow features (at v_in~0.09c), and a persistent ultra-fast outflow (v_out~0.42c), one of the fastest ever observed, challenging current radiation-driving models. XRISM/Resolve will resolve the Fe K complex, confirm and characterize the inflow features, and precisely measure the UFO properties, offering unique insights into the dynamics, ionization, and launching mechanisms of AGN winds, and providing stringent constraints on AGN feeding and feedback models.
