MCG+8-11-11
We propose to observe MCG+8-11-11, the Fe-K brightest Seyfert galaxy that is free from neutral or ionized absorption. This clean AGN spectrum provides us with the best opportunity to study the detailed line profile of the Fe K emission lines de-coupled from complex absorption features commonly observed in AGNs. The primary goals are (1) to identify the physical origin of the X-ray broad line region by comparison with extinction-free optical broad line spectra simultaneously observed, and (2) to test the hypothesis that the torus is predominantly made of radiation-driven outflow by detecting an expected blue shift when viewed face-on. As a secondly goal, we aim to reveal the velocity field of highly ionized gas using the Fe Lya line.
