Abstract

Galaxy groups have historically received less attention than larger clusters due to their lower X-ray luminosities, resulting in their relatively understudied nature. However, they encompass a significant portion of the Universe's baryons and are crucial for understanding structure formation. Recent Hitomi observations of the Perseus cluster have demonstrated the potential for precise measurements of metal abundances with micro-calorimeters, indicating new possibilities for studying chemical enrichment processes in galaxy groups. Therefore, we propose an 85 ks observation of the MKW4 galaxy group using Resolve to capitalize on this opportunity and achieve unprecedented detail in measuring chemical enrichment at the group scale.
