ABELL133
We propose a 70ks XRISM/Resolve observation of Abell 133, an X-ray bright, nearby cool-core cluster exhibiting striking signatures of AGN-driven uplift. High-resolution X-ray imaging reveals an elongated cool core and X-ray plumes trailing a large cavity, spatially coincident with an extremely thin (1 kpc), long (35 kpc) Halpha filament showing a monotonic increase in velocity away from the BCG. With the proposed observation, we will measure the bulk velocity of the X-ray gas and directly test whether the cool core has been uplifted by AGN feedback, achieving >5sigma significance in redshift difference relative to the BCG. This will provide the first direct kinematic confirmation of hot gas uplift in a cluster cool core.
